Reno woman pleads guilty in plot to cut off husband's penis

A Reno woman accused of hiring a hit-man to kill or maim her husband has waived her preliminary hearing and changed her plea to guilty.

45-year-old Margaret Lynn Wilson faces up to six years is prison for conspiracy to commit murder and child endangerment.

Wilson is accused of initially trying to arrange the murder of her husband before changing her mind and asking that his penis be cut off instead.

Wilson also is accused of asking the detective to torture a female friend of her husband.

Police say she agreed to pay the investigator $1,000 and give him the key to her husband's Reno home. She was arrested after allegedly paying the officer $200.

Wilson also was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment after her two young grandchildren were found alone at her Reno home. They were unharmed and placed into child protective custody.

Wilson will be back in court in two weeks.
