Autism advocates have reason to celebrate Friday, after Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons signed a key piece of legislation.
After months of emotional testimony and several amendments AB162, also known as the autism insurance reform bill, has become law.
The measure will require private health insurance companies to provide coverage for the screening, diagnosis and treatment of autism spectrum disorder.
Advocates are thanking the governor and legislators for their hard work in helping to pass the measure.
