A Reno woman is dealing with some creepy crawlers with an appetite for human blood, bed bugs.
"They're all in our furniture, we're getting bit to where we're bleeding, it's hard to sleep, it's even hard to even want to go to bed," said Randee Genarri.
Randee Gennari, said the bed bugs came from a couch she rented at local furniture store Rent-A-Center.
She said the bed bugs have bitten her all over, and have infested the rest of her apartment, including her bed.
"It's worse than any other bug I've had, I'd rather have cockroaches than this, Gennari said. "You're not thinking about them crawling on you at night, in your sheets--it's disgusting," Gennari said.
Rent-A-Center removed the couches, and would pay for an exterminator to get rid of the bed bugs in Gennari's apartment.
But those plans have hit a snag. Gennari said the exterminator hired by the rental company told her they decided not to do the job, because the media got involved.
Customers we spoke to, told us they were confident in their rentals and in Rent-A-Center's service.
The Health Department says Nevada law doesn't require furniture stores to clean rented furniture before selling it. They say bed bugs carry a low health risk.
