LAS VEGAS (AP) -- The Rocket Man is saying farewell to the Las Vegas Strip after five years and 241 shows.

Elton John's last show was slated for Wednesday at Caesars Palace. He's scheduled to embark May 2 on a tour of the United States, Canada and Europe.

The pop singer's show includes his top hits combined with complex video productions created by photographer and director David LaChappelle.

The offbeat music videos include appearances by singer Justin Timberlake and actress Pamela Anderson.

The five-time Grammy winner's hits include "Rocket Man," "Candle in the Wind," and "Bennie and the Jets."

John initially signed on for 75 shows over three years when his run began in February 2004. Casino officials say the deal was expanded because of demand.
