Mr. Macaluso, November 2008
Mr. Mac not only teaches students about computers but also heads up "the company" an entrepreneurial class that runs the student store. He coaches junior football and basketball and is the senior class advisor. His students describe him as funny, professional and passionate.

Ms. Heard has only been teaching at Lois Allen Elementary School for three years but parents say it s amazing what she can accomplish with her little ones. They say she has a way of helping the children solve their own problems and make good choices. Her style impacts not only how they behave but how easily they learn.

Dance teacher Staci Bauman received quite a warm welcome from her dance team and other Damonte Ranch students as she entered the gym during our Excellence in Education award presentation. She not only teaches students dance for PE class but heads up the dance team and helps choreograph school musicals .Everyone we talked to says she s always ready to jump in to give students a positive uplifting experience.

She is May's Excellence in Education Award winner. She is a no non- sense teacher who parents rave about. Julianne Kinzie has been teaching U.S. History to 7th and 8th graders at Billinghurst Middle School for 9 years. Her students say she always goes the extra step to make learning fun, and she is always in the middle of the mix when it comes to school assemblys and activities.
