Sophomore, Katherine Bending is hoping to be an actress someday but in the meantime she has been using her skills as a performer to help younger students. She's been donating her time at Kidscape Productions, an acting program for kids throughout the year. Bending says she's developed good self-esteem and confidence through acting and wanted to pass along the lessons she's learned. More

Through his responsibilities he has arranged for a canned food drive, organized a school earth day and tutored students every week. More

Reno High School sophomore Melanie McGarry uses her talents as an artist to help the community. Recently she drew a special picture for the family of 4-year old twins who are fighting a deadly disease called NPC. She has also worn out her tennis shoes in several fundraising walks and volunteers for the Step 2 drug and alcohol rehabilitation program for women and their children. More
